This file was generated on 2024-09-20 by Irmgard Koch A GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Title of the dataset: drought damage to forest trees by hygroscopic particles 2. Brief description of the research project and its aims: This dataset contains data from a three year PhD project concerning the drought damage to forest trees by hygroscopic paricles founded by the Umweltbundesamt in germany. From 2021 to 2024, leaves and needles from the canopies of beech, oak, spruce and pine at different level II plots of the ICP intensive forest monitoring program were sampled at different sites in Germany. Drought stress indicators minimal epidermal conductance and water potential at turgor loss point were measured. Leaves were washed and washing solution was analysed to obtain amounts of particles. Delta13C and Delta15N were measured as well. (2024) 3. Author Information A.
