Contents of the sheets are as follows: “Variabilities in hydraulics” Laboratory tests were conducted at four pressure heads (20, 40, 60 and 80 cm). Coefficients of variation of emitter flow were determined for the bamboo material, emitter precision and emitter plugging. They are: CV (H): expresses how much emitter flow variation is caused by the bamboo material). Three laterals were tested three times each for 30 minutes. Volumetric method was used to determine lateral outlet flow and CV (H) calculated as the ratio of average, and standard deviation of lateral outlet flow. CV (M): expresses how much emitter flow variation is caused by emitter precision. Three emitters were tested three times each for 30 minutes. Volumetric method was used to determine emitter outlet flow and CV (M) calculated as the ratio of average and standard deviation of emitter flow. CV (P): expresses how much emitter flow variation is caused by emitter plugging. It was deduced from the coefficient of variation of emitter flow due to the combination of bamboo material, emitter precision and emitter plugging CV (HMP). CV (HM) expresses how much emitter flow variation is caused by the combination of bamboo material and emitter precision. P is the average emitter flow reduction observed for the eight emitters after the six tests. “Emitter flow uniformity” At the same pressure heads as previously mentioned, the bamboo-drip system was tested for 30 minutes. Emitter flows were determined using the volumetric method. Emitter flow uniformity was assessed with Christiansen uniformity coefficient (UCC). “Net and gross irrigation” Daily net and gross irrigation amounts are presented here for each experiment plot, and each cropping season. “Observed SWC and thresholds” Observed daily soil-water contents and thresholds (Saturation, Permanent Wilting Point, Field Capacity, Readily Available Water and Management Allowable Depletion) are presented here for each experiment plot, and each cropping season. “Observed SWMP” Observed daily soil-water matric potentials (before and after irrigation) are presented here for each experiment plot, and each cropping season. “Yields and Water productivities” Yields and Irrigation water productivities are presented here for each experiment plot, and each cropping season.
