Quality/Lineage: The Agronomic fertilizer use efficiency in maize biomass under three different fertilizer application rates, plotted in the map was calculated as the average values of 19 years (the year 1992 -2010). The unit is kilogram per Kilogram (kg/kg).

Agronomic fertilizer Use Efficiency (FUE)= (Maize biomass under fertilized condition - Maize biomass under unfertilized condition) (in kg)/ Fertilizer application rate (in kg)

The climate data at the national scale was made available from the Terrestrial Hydrology Research Group, Princeton University (http://hydrology.princeton.edu/data.php) at a resolution of 10 km x 10 km. The dataset was constructed by combining a suite of global observation-based datasets with the NCEP/NCAR reanalysis.

Soil parameter values were extracted from the soil property maps of Africa at 1 km x 1 km resolution

Purpose: To increase food production, identifying the regions with untapped production capacity is of prime importance and can be achieved by quantitative and spatially explicit estimates of Agronomic Fertilizer use efficiency, thus considering the spatial variation in environment and the production system.
<sumDscr><timePrd cycle="P1" event="start" date="1992-01-01">1992-01-01</timePrd><timePrd cycle="P1" event="end" date="2010-12-31">2010-12-31</timePrd><collDate cycle="P1" event="start" date="2010-11-16T13:45:00">2010-11-16T13:45:00</collDate><collDate cycle="P1" event="end" date="2010-11-16T13:45:00">2010-11-16T13:45:00</collDate><nation>Ghana</nation><geoBndBox><westBL>-3.2358825597569654</westBL><eastBL>0.5434143147169717</eastBL><southBL>5.0448055527222975</southBL><northBL>11.305379402024625</northBL></geoBndBox></sumDscr><notes>This dataset was first published on the institutional Repository "Zentrum für Entwicklungsforschung: ZEF Data Portal" with ID={fbc85081-4332-4ca8-857d-7f2b13460a84}.</notes></stdyInfo><method><dataColl><sources/></dataColl><anlyInfo/></method><dataAccs><setAvail/><useStmt/><notes type="DVN:TOU" level="dv"><a href="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0">CC BY-SA 4.0</a></notes></dataAccs><othrStdyMat/></stdyDscr><otherMat ID="f2627" URI="https://bonndata.uni-bonn.de/catalog/downloads/2627/Agronomic%20Fertilizer%20Use%20Efficiency%20%28FUE%29%20in%20Maize%20biomass%20in%20Ashanti%20region%20and%20Brong-Ahafo%20region%20in%20Ghana_300dpi.png" level="datafile"><labl>Agronomic Fertilizer Use Efficiency (FUE) in Maize biomass in Ashanti region and Brong-Ahafo region in Ghana_300dpi.png</labl><txt></txt><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">image/png</notes></otherMat><otherMat ID="f2630" URI="https://bonndata.uni-bonn.de/catalog/downloads/2630/Agronomic_Fertilizer_Use_Efficiency_FUE_in_Maize_biomass_in_Ashanti_region_and_Brong-Ahafo_region_in_Ghana.png" level="datafile"><labl>Agronomic_Fertilizer_Use_Efficiency_FUE_in_Maize_biomass_in_Ashanti_region_and_Brong-Ahafo_region_in_Ghana.png</labl><txt></txt><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">image/png</notes></otherMat><otherMat ID="f2629" URI="https://bonndata.uni-bonn.de/catalog/downloads/2629/Ghana_Maize_Resource_Use_Eff-1.zip" level="datafile"><labl>Ghana_Maize_Resource_Use_Eff-1.zip</labl><txt></txt><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">application/zipped-shapefile</notes></otherMat><otherMat ID="f2626" URI="https://bonndata.uni-bonn.de/catalog/downloads/2626/metadata.xml" level="datafile"><labl>metadata.xml</labl><txt></txt><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">text/xml</notes></otherMat><otherMat ID="f2628" URI="https://bonndata.uni-bonn.de/catalog/downloads/2628/proj_BiomassWEB.png" level="datafile"><labl>proj_BiomassWEB.png</labl><txt></txt><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">image/png</notes></otherMat></codeBook>
