Zeitschrift für Musikwissenschaft 41/1 (2026), 70-86.

The original data set was compiled in the DFG-project "Geschmacksbildung und Verlagspolitik" in Leipzig/Dresden and contains print run data from three of the leading music publishing houses in 19th century Germany (ca 12.000 edition titles, with standardized work and publisher information variables plus print actions with print dates and quantities). From this data, the data from publisher J. Rieter-Biedermann was used for the abovementioned paper. It was used to investigate how international trade activities manifest in the publisher's data and what significance international trade had for late-19th-century music publishing. Partially, this was possible because the original dataset was enriched with GND authority data to identify related work and composer entities, which also contains geographical area codes for composer origins (see paper methodology).</dcterms:description><dcterms:subject>Arts and Humanities</dcterms:subject><dcterms:language>German</dcterms:language><dcterms:IsSupplementTo>Maximilian Rosenthal, "Vernetzung und Verflechtung: Rieter-Biedermann auf dem internationalen Musikalienmarkt", in: Musiktheorie.
