The map reveals that marginality hotspots are ethnically more homogeneous than non-hotspot areas.\n\nQuality/Lineage: This map shows the ethnic fractionalization index as developed by Taylor and Hudson (1970). The index is calculated as \n1- sum(gi), where g is the proportion of people belonging to ethnic group i.
