Description
The dataset comprises administrative data regarding fiscal decentralization (intergovernmental transfers, municipal expenditures, and local revenues), nutrition (stunting, wasting and underweight for children under five years old), health-related indicators (access to safe water and sanitation), as well as other control variables (area, population, distance to the sea) for the 314 municipalities in Bolivia, for the years 2001 and 2012. Purpose: The data was compiled in order to estimate the potential relationship between fiscal decentralization and health/nutrition in Bolivia. The information was compiled from several sources (National Institute of Statistics, Ministry of Finance), as well as own estimations referred to nutrition indicators..
