Description

The dataset includes data collected from wholesale trader in grains with significant storage capacity in Ghana. In addition, information was collected on the trading enterprise, general market conditions, price expectations, operational costs, and risk. In total 38 traders were surveyed between August to November 2013. Purpose: The survey was set out to gain knowledge on trading behavior and stocking strategies of the respondents. There is little knowledge on the seasonal variation in commercial stock levels in many African countries. The main purpose of the survey was to record seasonal variation in stocks for the respondents over the past marketing year.
